I live in Rockaway Beach, New York (Yes, it is the infamous place from the Ramones song) I have worked in the iconic Garment District in Midtown Manhattan for over 8 years. I started out designing apparel and giving print direction but quickly began developing prints myself. I create prints from my hand paintings and also straight through Photoshop/Illustrator.
I designed for prominent companies such as American Rag and Project 28 who’s lines are sold at Macy’s. I have also designed for numerous other stores with varying aesthetics. I love being challenged with the different needs of each customers.
I'm originally from California where I grew up creating; from drawing and and screen printing to sewing and designing my own clothes. After high school I headed off the college and earned a degree in business from San Diego State University. Soon I realized that I missed working with my hands and creating. I then attended Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where I received my MFA in Fashion Design and learned textile print design.
Creative problem solving and design brainstorming are intrinsic to my work and are key motivators in my life. I love a design challenge and forecasting the right prints for each client.
